Wrapping up a sweet Summer, lifestyle edit
20something diaries, xxx of what i've been up to
Saturday
The sun is beginning to set as I sit down to write to this newsletter to you. Our home is aflush with gentle golden light as it pours in through our curtains, bathing the room in its soft shimmer. I’m fresh out of the shower after a long day of sweaty tennis, dressed and ready for dinner.
There is something about this mid-September sunset: one of the last to succeed a hot day, one of the first to precede a cold night. There is a quietude to it, a kind of finality. Reflecting on a summer that has been both sweet and bitter, one that I found myself moving through often feeling uprooted and helpless, I am grateful for this calm in-between.
As we begin to wrap up slow summer days for crisp autumn air and cozier clothing, a short xxx of what I have been up to and how I have been taking care of myself,

For my skin, eating protein, fat and hella bone broth (herbal chicken soup). Asian women take a fiercely holistic, inside-out approach to beauty. For years I’ve been force-fed endless soups and tonics by my mom. I’m only now starting to see the wisdom in guzzling collagen-dense foods for my skin, hair and general health.
Braved tiktok to find this for you re collagen dense miracle broth. My sister eats a big bowl of one of these for lunch everyday - as we go into colder weather, it will similarly become a very regular dinner for me.

Reading George Orwell & Harry Potter
Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell
I loved this book. It is flawed, honest and eye opening. It made me grateful for the work of writers.
Harry Potter - I told you the what of my break up with social media, I didn’t tell you the how: find something long form to distract yourself with.
Hyper-fixating on tennis. (with zero hand-eye coordination).
Sleeping on linen sheets!
