what we ate, what we wore
Over the weekend we went out for Thai food at Singburi. This is what we ate, and what we wore:
roasted tomato salad with a caramalised fish sauce dressing, finished with fresh dill and crunchy peanuts - oh mah gawd, beautiful
grilled wild ginger chicken thigh, any sort of roasted or grilled chicken on a menu is something iāll order every single time, this did not disappoint
prawn coconut curry reminiscent of another local hero in asia, the laksa noodle
bavette steak salad, sweet and tangy dressing offset by fresh aromatics and topped with toasted rice aaahhhooofff <333
linen halter top from deiji studios (i caved⦠read here: Girl Chat) , trousers are these from st agni that just work with everything, the chanel slingbacks that are surprisingly great for walking but in hindsight maybe didnāt work so well with this outfit⦠oh well, found a great quality pair for c.Ā£800 here
he is wearing a dark blue corduroy top from Toast, gramicci shorts and not pictured are⦠his tennis shoes š
how to look like yourself: what to wear this month
iāve been thinking lots about what bloody torture self-realisation is. coming home to who you are, living in unity with your spiritual self, an unchanging and eternal being that is quite separate from the physical body, the changing mind, and certainly the material world⦠thing is though, we do exist in the physical plane. understanding that there is more to our world than whatās on the surface is one thing⦠learning to co-exist happily in it, holding this knowledge, while we are still here is another; itās this second part to spiritual maturity that iām still learning.
weāre for the tiniest, shortest, little pinprick of time, but we are here all the same. and there is so much physical and material pleasure to delight in; from the food we eat to the clothes that we wear and the objets with which we decorate our homes. itās okay to have a some fun in this little life !!
youāre already here, after-all š
so as we wrap up another sweet summer to welcome cinnamon-spiced september, some suggestions on how to dress for yourself this month:
wear some colour!!!
not a lil pop of red with a black-and-white outfit (nothing wrong with that) - but some real colour! let your inner child play a bit

be as comfortable as humanly possible: a good cashmere sweater
and socks. three years ago I bought an oversized cashmere sweater from COS (c.Ā£200) that i still look forward to wearing every single time temperatures dip a little south of 15 degrees. itās so bloody soft, goes with anything, works great as a standalone or over a shirt, with a skirt or trousers. itās also priced at just the right level - itās a bit steep but worth it for a good thing but not SO steep that iām terrified to wear it.
if you are at all inclined, not saying you must, they have some good selections this year too: this cut is very flattering, this colour is beautiful, and this poppy red cardi from rise & fall is on my wishlist.
wear it with a structured or slinky skirt; maybe some frilly trousers:
and while youāre delirious with joy in your comfortable and colourful clothing, bake yourself some cinnamon rolls and let yourself be.
taaaa - thanks for being here guys. and welcome!!!! to the dandelion tiger gang if you are new here :))) you are amongst your own kind šš»
